Smooth Events got started in 1999 with an idea. Melissa Smyth has a passion for parties. Working in the event planning industry for a few years and as an Office Manager for several years, her attention to detail and organization sparked her passion for paper and invitations. This led her to create invitations for family and friends, company brochures, newsletters and more. While working as a stay-at-home-mom of two, she found a love for her creative side all while trying to supplement her income.

Smooth Events has now moved into Personalized Stationery because Melissa still believes that, a personal note means something. Who doesn’t like to receive a nice note in the mail? With all the technology thrown in our faces, email, the internet, and texting, there is still something about saying it in writing.
